Which material for my conservatory?
An aluminium conservatory? Wooden? What materials are ideal for building a conservatory? AKENA can help you decide.
A material often used for conservatories: aluminium
Which material for my conservatory? When you think of robust, stable, hard-wearing, recyclable materials, aluminium immediately springs to mind. And with good reason! It's the most widely used material in conservatory construction.
Its only drawback is that it is a thermal conductor. Manufacturers have now found a solution: thermal breaks. The problem is solved by a non-conductive joint that separates the outer aluminium profile from the inner aluminium profile. So you can be sure of enjoying your conservatory in aluminium all year round. An aluminium conservatory is always a guarantee of comfort and solidity.

When it comes to aesthetics, the aluminium profiles designed by the manufacturers are beautifully moulded to blend in harmoniously with their surroundings. When it comes to colours, you can give free rein to your imagination with a wide selection of shiny or satin, speckled, frosted or sandblasted colours. The profiles are treated and powder-coated in the factory.
You're adding a new room to your home that's pleasant, spacious, light and perfectly suited to the architecture of your home. Aluminium for a conservatory? A recommended material.

Some examples of aluminium conservatories
Another material frequently used in the manufacture of conservatories is wood.
Another popular conservatory material is wood. It is most often used to make up the framework, combined with aluminium frames. These two materials combine to create conservatories that are both robust and elegant. The natural qualities of wood are combined with the technical capabilities of aluminium. What a beautiful combination!
Wood, which is naturally suited to construction, has incomparable mechanical strength. The only drawback is maintenance. Regular staining is required, but for wood lovers, this is just a formality. So a wooden conservatory is also an excellent choice for lovers of authenticity and character.
Other materials - PVC, steel, etc. - account for only a tiny proportion of projects in France, and don't offer the same technical advantages, or at very high cost.
