Maintenance of materials and accessories
Conservatory cleaning depending on the materials used

Maintaining an aluminium conservatory
Apart from regular cleaning of the conservatory with a soft sponge and soapy water twice a year, powder-coated aluminium requires no special maintenance.

Cleaning polycarbonate on a conservatory
Some conservatories have translucent honeycomb roof panels which can also be cleaned with soapy water.
How do I clean the conservatory rails?
Use the nozzle of a hoover to clean the rails to remove dust and small stones that could eventually wear down the castors, prevent the slides from operating and block the water drainage holes.
PRECAUTIONS TO BE TAKEN :
1. Never clean your shoes using the rails: grit and sand in the soles of your shoes are real enemies of the sliding mechanism.
2. Never grease the rails.
Maintain gutters and downpipes
Inspect them at least once a year (using a stepladder) to clear away any obstructions that could block the passage of water (balls, leaves, moss, etc.).
When the gutter and downpipes are blocked, water can overflow and sometimes even seep into your conservatory. This is why you need to be extremely vigilant and maintain your conservatory gutters with the utmost care.
Maintenance of conservatory hardware and joints
We recommend that you regularly operate all the moving parts of your conservatory (sliding doors, locks, ventilators) to prevent them from seizing up. You should also remove any dust from the vents to prevent them from clogging. Warning: Never grease hardware!
Although the seals do not require any special maintenance, it is advisable to wipe them lightly with a cloth after washing the conservatory with plenty of water. The seals at the bottom of the glazing are the most exposed to dirt and should be cleaned with a cloth, without rubbing.
