Take a moment before the summer season to remove any plants that have fallen on the roof and in the gutters, then wash the carport with soapy water. Do the same before winter and your aluminium carport will protect your caravan for years to come;
- Wood is a noble and solid material, but it needs regular treatment. It is important that it be autoclave-treated, fungicidal, insecticidal and anti-UV, and that it be varnished every 3 to 5 years to keep its natural and warm appearance.
- PVC is often used for kit carports, which can be dismantled. It has weaknesses that are incompatible with the essential properties of a caravan carport. There is a high risk of deformation and discolouration. Its fragility in terms of both the structure and the roof means that there are uncertainties when it comes to snow or branches falling.
