Closing a carport
Your carport is an outdoor installation that evolves with your desires and the seasons. Definitive closure
There are several solutions available:
- A breezeblock or brickenclosure. Although this is a radical and effective solution, its weak point will be the need to harmonise aesthetically with the rest of the carport. To ensure that the installation is efficient, we recommend that you have it carried out by a professional.
- Wooden enclosures, particularly panelling. Regular maintenance is required with this material, which, although hard-wearing, does have its weaknesses, such as damp.
- Closing with sheet metal, which is inexpensive but not very strong.
Temporary closure
There are several solutions available:
- A tarpaulin installation, which is practical for rainy days or when you want to add shade to your carport. Although inexpensive, it is also not very durable, and will have to be erected and dismantled several times.
- A mosquito net installation can be a good alternative if you want to be protected from pests, while still having light when you use your carport as a pergola. However, they have the same disadvantages as tarpaulins in terms of lack of strength and installation.
