Our societal commitments
AKENA and all its employees are fully committed to the societal concerns related to its activity, in particular the issues related to sustainable development. Safety, the environment, associations... these are all subjects that concern us all and that we take on board on a daily basis with concrete and measurable actions. We have chosen to list some of them, one by one, each one having a real sense of priority.
The Toit à Moi association
As a manufacturer of protective structures for the home, Akena is fully concerned by the issues related to housing and obviously feels involved when an association campaigns for the return to housing.
That is why it seemed obvious to us to become a patron of TOIT A MOI Vendée. TOIT A MOI is a structure that acquires housing and accompanies homeless people in their reintegration by providing a roof over their heads where they can stay for as long as necessary, rebuild their lives and reintegrate into society.

Alone, we go faster; together, we go further
There are disasters that affect... The ongoing war in Ukraine, or the 2023 earthquake in Turkey and Syria...
On our scale, it is important to contribute by making donations and giving all our volunteer collaborators the opportunity to get involved.

Donating our computer equipment for a second life
Every year, our IT department donates end-of-life equipment to the local branch of the Resto du Coeur Vendée.
In 2022, for example, 20 desktop/laptop computers, 20 mobile phones and other IT equipment (servers, network equipment, etc.) were donated free of charge.

AKENA gets involved locally
AKENA is committed on a daily basis to the deployment of practices of a local nature. For example, we favour local suppliers whenever possible to limit long journeys and thus reduce our carbon footprint.
We also regularly get involved in local development initiatives that give meaning to the life of the company and its employees (local sports partnerships, musical events, etc.).

La Joséphine’ race
Every October, our employees run for the Ligue contre le cancer (League Against Cancer) in La Roche-sur-Yon and in many municipalities in the Vendée region to raise awareness of breast cancer screening among an ever-increasing number of people.

Akena is committed to Road Safety
Akena is one of the companies that has signed the Road Safety charter. The aim of this charter is to present the levers for action in order to combat occupational road risk, particularly for commuting between home and work.
By endorsing the charter, Akena is committed to raising awareness among its employees.
AKENA, a player in local community life
Akena is committed to local community life by sponsoring La Roche Vendée Football, which will be playing in the National 2 league for the 2023/2024 season.
Football is a school of life that also guides us in business. Our Chairman, Christophe Chabot, is the first to be convinced of this and has been strongly committed to football in the Vendée for many years. He has been supporting La Roche VF in its progress as Chairman of the club since 2011.

AKENA has supported the La 7ème vague festival since its inception in 2002.
For more than 20 years, Akena has supported the La 7ème vague festival, which takes place a stone's throw from its factories in Brétignolles sur Mer in the Vendée.
