Why install a 3-car carport?
Whether it's for protecting one, two, or three vehicles, a carport is first and foremost a shelter. It consists of a structure topped with a roof. Depending on its type and size, the roof is supported by two to twelve posts, or even more for very wide three-car carports.
Less expensive and quicker to build than a garage, it offers excellent protection against the elements and prying eyes.
When the cars aren't parked under your carport, you can adapt its functionality as you see fit. Pergola, pool enclosure, temporary workshop, or even an outdoor office—your carport can be transformed to suit your needs!
Furthermore, although it also depends on the materials used, a 3-car carport is much easier to maintain than a garage. It has no walls or door. If its structure is made of aluminum, maintenance is quick (twice a year with a sponge and soap). Moreover, an aluminum 3-car carport is robust and durable, so additional costs for maintenance or repairs will be extremely rare.

What type of triple carport is right for you?
There are two types of carports: the freestanding (island) carport and the lean-to carport.
A three-car attached carport is fixed to the house's facade using a support beam. It is supported parallel to the wall by two, four, six, or more posts, depending on its size. Its advantage is that it's accessible directly from the house. Ideal on rainy days for getting your family settled in without getting wet or for unloading groceries! Being in direct contact with the wall, it also offers additional protection against the elements. Maneuvering your car will be a little more delicate than under an island carport, due to the side wall. It's essential to take this into account when calculating the dimensions.
A freestanding carport is independent. The roof rests on a minimum of four posts for a simple carport and can have twelve or more posts for larger three-car carports. It can be installed anywhere in your garden, allowing you to design the perfect size for your carport without worrying about the size of your house's facade. The distance between the carport and your house won't be sheltered, but it allows for easier maneuvering. You can add aluminum side privacy screens for extra privacy and protection.
